These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of housebox.io and the Housebox app (together, the "Services"), provided by Housebox ("Housebox," "we," "us"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.
Housebox is operated by Common Creative, LLC. References to "Housebox," "we," and "us" in these Terms mean Common Creative, LLC, doing business as Housebox.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. If you use the Services on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to accept these Terms for it.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. You control who you invite to your houses and organization and what they can see. Tell us right away at support@housebox.io if you suspect unauthorized access.
You own the information, files, and photos you add to Housebox ("Your Content"). You give us a limited license to host, store, process, and display Your Content only as needed to provide the Services to you and the people you share with. You confirm you have the right to upload Your Content, including any information about other people such as vendors or team members.
You agree not to misuse the Services, including by: accessing accounts or data you are not authorized to access; probing, scanning, or disrupting our systems; uploading malware or unlawful content; using the Services to harass others or violate anyone's privacy; or reselling the Services without our permission.
We are continually improving Housebox. Features may change, be added, or be removed, and the Services may occasionally be unavailable. We will give reasonable notice before removing features that paid plans depend on.
Paid plans are billed per house on a monthly or annual basis and renew automatically until you cancel. Before you subscribe, we will show you the price, billing frequency, and renewal terms, and ask for your consent.
If you start a free trial that requires a payment method, we will tell you when the trial ends and what you will be charged, and we will remind you before the trial converts to a paid plan. You can cancel at any time online from your account settings, in the same place you signed up, and cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable. We will notify you before any price change takes effect.
The Services, including the software, design, and Housebox name and logo, belong to Housebox. These Terms don't give you any rights to them except the right to use the Services as described here.
You can stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms or if needed to protect the Services or other users. After your account ends, we will handle Your Content as described in our Privacy Policy.
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Housebox is an organizational tool; it does not provide legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice, and you are responsible for decisions you make using information in Housebox.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Housebox will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
You agree to defend and hold Housebox harmless from claims arising out of Your Content or your violation of these Terms, to the extent allowed by law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in San Bernardino County, California, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date, and for significant changes we will notify account holders by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Services after changes take effect means you accept them.
